Training for professional careers in ballet
For aspiring dancers ages 9 to 19
This two-week program gives serious students ages 9-19 the opportunity to cap off their summer studies and prepare for the season ahead. An internationally illustrious faculty instructs students in technique, pointe, men’s, pas de deux, variations, and modern classes.
Admission to BAE is by audition.
2019 August Intensive Audition Dates
Saturday, May 11, 2019
All potential students must fill out the audition application, and will receive an e-mail response within one week of submission. Please note that the faculty might still require an in-person audition.
Classes will be taught by the distinguished BAE year-round faculty and renowned guest teachers.
The 2019 August Intensive dates are August 19 – August 30.
The daily schedule will include ballet, pointe, variations, pas de deux, men’s class, men’s weight training, stretch, modern, and character classes. Students will receive their class schedule in July.
Any solid-color leotard with pink tights for ballet class and any solid-color leotard with footless tights for modern class. Skirts, sweatpants, leg warmers, and multi-strap or rhinestone-studded leotards are not permitted.

BAE student housing is available at the de Hirsch Residence, which is located one block from the school. For students 18 years and older, St. Mary’s Residence is another option a short distance from BAE.
BAE has a fully appointed apartment located near the school, which houses a small number of male students. This housing is in high demand, and availability goes very quickly. Inquiries should be sent to email@example.com.
Once you are accepted to the program, we will assist you in securing housing.
Level A: $1050
Levels B-F: $1,250
Upon notification of acceptance, a payment of 50% of the tuition is due within two weeks. The remaining balance is due by July 1st.
Payments can be made by check to Ballet Academy East, or credit card. Tuition is non-refundable.
Financial aid scholarships are available to those who qualify. Funds are limited and we recommend that you apply early. In addition to financial aid, Ballet Academy East offers a limited number of full and partial scholarships and housing stipends to male dancers.
