Join us this summer for classes that will instill a love of dance within a warm and positive environment focused in developing individual potential.
Many safety and cleaning protocols are in place for our in-person classes, including small classes, a new air purification system, social distancing, masks worn at all times, continuous cleaning and sanitizing, daily pre-screening process through HealthCheck, staggered class times, and much more. Young Dancer Division: For ages 2-6, through kindergarten. This program is an introduction to the basics of ballet with a focus on developing strength, flexibility , musicality and joy of dance.
Primary Division: For ages 6-7, first graders for the 20-21 school year. The syllabus is specifically designed to prepare students for the requirements of Level 1 within BAE’s Pre-Professional Division. (No audition or previous experience required). Virtual classes available.
Enrichment Division: For ages 7-14. This program is designed for children who wish to further their love and appreciation of ballet, but in a less intensive environment. (No audition or previous experience required). Virtual classes available.

To keep our BAE community safe, we have partnered with HealthCheck for our daily check-in process at BAE. Everyone will be required to show that they completed their HealthCheck upon entering BAE.

Students should arrive dressed for class. Dressing rooms are closed. Restrooms are available.
Students may wear dancewear or comfortable clothes such as shorts or leggings and a tee shirt, and ballet slippers (girls: pink or flesh tone; boys: black) or tap shoes. No skirts or tutus.
Girls: Blue leotard, pink or flesh-toned tights and ballet slippers. Tutus and skirts are not permitted.
Boys: White T-shirt, black tights, and black ballet slippers.
Girls: Hunter green leotard, pink or flesh-toned tights and ballet slippers. Tutus and skirts are not permitted.
Boys: White T-shirt, black tights or sweatpants, and black ballet slippers.

In-Studio Class Policies
Young Dancer Division students are allowed a maximum of 2 pre-recorded make-up classes for any missed classes. In-studio make-ups will not be permitted. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.
Arrival and Health Checks
Be sure to arrive no more than 10-15 minutes prior to the start of class.
ALL VISITORS to BAE will be required to complete an online daily wellness survey in the main lobby of the school, prior to going to the third floor. If the answer is “yes” to any symptoms, you will not be allowed entry to BAE.
Masks must be worn by all students, parents, caregivers, faculty, and staff at all times, when entering 1651 Third Ave. Students, parents, caregivers, faculty, and staff are expected to supply their own masks. Disposable face coverings will be available at the front desk for anyone who arrives without one.
Dressing Room and Bathroom Facilities
Dressing rooms may only be used to access the bathrooms. Students will need to arrive already dressed for class.
BAE’s water fountains will not be operational. Students should bring their own water bottle into class.
To Parents and Caregivers of Young Dancer Division Students
Each child must have a parent or caregiver present at the studio, ready to assist their child should they need to use the bathroom, or just need a hug. Teachers will be social distancing throughout the class. You may arrange for a classmate’s parent or caregiver to be the chaperone for your child provided we receive email notification directly from the parent in advance. A maximum of one adult is permitted to chaperone each child. Siblings, including babies in carriers, any additional visitors, and strollers are not permitted on the third floor. Street shoes are not permitted in any of the studios. Valuables should not be left unattended. The school is not responsible for lost articles.
Importance of Timeliness for Class
Due to the detailed and carefully organized arrival and class procedure for in-person classes, it is especially important to arrive on time.
After class, students will have ten minutes to depart. Everyone will exit via the stairs. Elevators are available for anyone not physically able to take the stairs.
