Any classes which entail floor exercise: Bring either a mat or towel
Levels B/C Flexistretcher: Our Flexistretcher teacher, Rachel Hamrick would love if students could have the following supplies on hand, but if you don’t have any of these items Rachel will modify the exercises so that they can be done effectively without props as well. Any brand is fine. Here are some suggested links.
Level B/C Students, Weeks 2 and 3: Choreography teacher, Ariel Rose, would like you to have this music on hand for class.

Financial aid scholarships are available to those who qualify. Funds are limited and we recommend that you apply early. In addition to financial aid, Ballet Academy East offers a limited number of full and partial scholarships and housing stipends to male dancers.

Please feel free to contact us to request a financial aid or Male Scholarship Fund application.

With a little planning, elbow grease, and imagination, you can create your own at-home studio. We want all of our students to mentally and physically get the most from every class, while reducing any risk of injury.

Ethernet Cable: If you experience WiFi service issues, we recommend connecting an Ethernet cable directly from your router to your device. This will provide you with faster speed and a more reliable connection to the internet. (Depending on which device you are using, you might also need an Ethernet adapter.)

Lighting: Your light source should be located either overhead and/or in front so that the teacher can best see you. Lighting from behind will create a silhouette effect and will make it difficult for the teacher to see you in detail.

Mirror: We strongly recommend that you have a full-length mirror placed in front to help you focus, and apply your teachers’ corrections and cues. There are many options available for purchase. Here is one: Full-length Standing Mirror

Barres and Flooring: There are now many online resources for barres and floors. Here are links to home floors and barres that we recommend.
